Adding foglights to a v6?
I've got a 2000 and you know how on the front bumper, where there are the mesh or whatever on the bottom part. Well on the outside corners, where the gt has foglights, is it possible to cut the corners out and insert fog lights? Just wondering if anybody would have a clue.

yes its possible, but may be hard.
you would have to consider wiring and cutting holes (drill) with cracking the bumper ide see if there are oem bumpers with the fog lights already installed on them, and less wiring perhaps? |

Yep, that's what most people do. You'll need the foglights themselves, mounting hardware, and the wiring harness. I believe I bought my foglights from someone parting their GT, and I bought the wiring harness from VMP. You can also buy the middle foglight button that goes next to the defrost button, but I just spliced mine into the headlamps, so they're on when my lights are on.
edit: American muscle has some instructions that might help. How To Install Mustang Fog Lights (99-04) They show how to replace the foglights on a GT, so it will just help with putting the actual hardware in. AM also sells stock replacements, so you might decide to buy from them. I've had nothing but excellent experiences buying from AM. Last edited by mooses; June 17th, 2009 at 01:42 AM. |

It is a very common thing to do for V6 Mustangs. The bars you see in the foglight openings can be cut out very easy. Just take your time and don't go wacking away at your bumper with a knife.
You can buy kits from various different websites for this, just search for Mustang Foglight kit or something similiar and I am sure you will find them. Welcome to MM as well

^ exactly, just use a blade/box cutters, and yes, be careful. I have mine cut out and had the bumper (whole car) painted afterwords you can't even tell.

all you do is take a razor blade and cut off the bars covering the fog holes
