Yeah That's true but what I tried to say was that I believe nothing bad will happen, and no I don't have a capacitor
My gauges jump around too on startup, Isn't that a test the car's computer runs on startup to test the gauges? I assumed so because I can select the gauge test through the mileage display and it will make the gauges reset like that every time.
Yeah that's true about the alternator and no I don't have a capacitor installed. Dunno about the gauges but mine does it sometimes not always, it does it when my battery is low.

I'd strongly recommend it, and a good capacitor doesn't cost very much. Also helps being able to see the voltage your battery/alternator are putting out at all times from the display it has.

Oh I have one I bought it used for 35 bucks but I didnt install it since people said that the alt needs more force to charge both things so its just stored on my closet, mine is like cylinder made of plastic it says 20volts but has the positive and negative terminal pretty close and it needs to be placed on a secure place and I didnt wanted to make holes on my carpet, plus it need a bracket like the ones that nitrous use.

Lol sorry about that..... One time I thought both of my amps were dead but the only thing that happened was that my fuse holder broke cuz it was hanging and hitting the car while driving and the stereo worked...
