problem after sea foaming >:[

I put 1/3 into vacuum line and 1/3 into gas tank and followed the instructions perfectly..
I start up all fine but when I drive its sluggish, really really sluggish, I drove it down a 45 mph road and eventually I got to the speed limit butstill reallly reallly sluggish, what's wrong?
I checked to make sure the hoses are connected properly and alls fine.

Seafoaming My Mustang - Ford Mustang Forums
This should help just remember that you need to get rid of the oil and gas, did you put it seafoam on your tank when it was full of fuel? sorry for not giving you the link before, actually I gave this link to another member in here... Give it wot throttle again you have to change your oil, spark plugs and you had to have a little a amount of fuel. If the white smoke is already gone do this^ if you car had a little bit of white smoke then that means that your car wasnt that bad and when the're a lot of smoke coming that means that you had a lot of carbon in there..

Thanks man, although I never put it into the oil..
The problem cleared up after letting it sit a while..
I had no change in performance what-so-ever so I took it to auto parts to pull the code.. or should I say codes..
I have 3 codes my cars slapping me with right now.
1. Misfire detected in cylinder # 6 *ignition system fault-spark plug, ignition wires, coil
2. EGR system fault (exaust gas recirculation) *failed EGR valve
3. Ignition coil primary circuit condition -- coil # 3 *ignition coil defective

Codes pulled 30 min of driving after sea foaming, no change in performance.
What do these 3 codes represent, and have in common?
Any easy DIY fix for any of these problems?

**I have a video of the sea foaming job on my car ill post shortly**

I think that all that will be resolved with new spark plugs, coil, and wires..

Also i'm not sure if this should happen or someone gave you a bad advise..
So you just put it on the pvc hose? and not on the gas tank?

Maybe I'm gonna get the code pulled again else where..
I put 1/3 into pvc hose and 1/3 into gas tank (half a quarter left)

Can I dip the EGR valve in some kind of cleaner?

Electronic cleaner?
The guy I talked to at the auto parts I went to said the EGR valve is not cleanable because the "fine" parts of it are clogged with carbon.. what's that about?

ask him about carb cleaner cuz the egr valve cost like 70-80 or take it out and you will see what to clean plus dont forget to buy the gasket, the egr looks like a little hat or plate and I think theres 2 or 3 bolts holding it.

So if I completely clean the egr it will be just as good as a new one?
And new gasket, no doubt.
I meant to ask about 2 things I noticed while sea foaming..

1. Same color smoke that was coming from the exaust was also coming from the back, bottom part of the engine, I believe where the headers are(what ever the pipes are called connecting to back cylinders *3 and 6*)

2. Before I was gonna kill the engine a big poooofffffff of smoke from the tube that was sucking the SF. with a low 'pop' immediately killing the engine. What's that about?

I don't know about that but the egr usually fail when there's a lot of carbon and that's the purpose of the seafoam so I think after changing what i told you it might solve everything. ( not sure ) Yesterday I was watching a video on youtube about this so you may want to check some of them and see...

Lol I also have that problem but I guess is something related to electric things cuz I have a short or a false ground cuz my battery use to die everyday and alternator was good and batt...

So it stop doing it dunno why and after a month it started to drain my battery, I have a sound system and yes when my battery is low all the needles move. So I think is the car's computer gettting reset since theres low charge on the battery ( not sure do ) I haven't done any research about that..

Actually that makes sense, I killed my battery completely a few days ago listening to music with the car off, and yes I also have a sound system
But my battery died quickly (10mins of playing).. and also I notice when the engines off all the light dim in the interior when I press either brake / lights and everytime the speaker "beats(bass)".. car never did that..
This is what I'm gonna do, tonight charge the batter full..
Tomorrow clean off spark plugs/ clean EGR/ inspect ignition coil

I got tired of taking the car to electric shops since they told I have no short and when I was going back home the dome light stayed on??? all the time so I removed the interior light fuse.

With my sound system almost full volume I kill my battery in 30min and I don't have a huge one just basics 2 12's. Oh my headlights light also dim on each boom so that's normal.

Clean spark plugs? replace them that's what you have to do after seafoaming your car..

Lol ok, I listen to house/ techno/ electro and as you know the beat hits every second so if you can imagine my batter gets killed quickly..

And I will change them, can I get the stock plugs from walmart or only from paets store?

I thought that is due to the alternator instead of the battery, do you have a capacitor? In my last car my lights dimmed like that too but was due to the heavy loud i was putting on my alternator, when I hooked up a 2farad capacitor into my setup I no longer had that problem.

My gauges jump around too on startup, Isn't that a test the car's computer runs on startup to test the gauges? I assumed so because I can select the gauge test through the mileage display and it will make the gauges reset like that every time.
