JBA headers and Pypes dual exhaust
Is any one familiar with JBA headers and Pypes dual exhaust?
I'm considering the purchase of the exhaust kit displayed at the bottom of this page. I like the fact that I can gain some power and still be legal. I'm just curious about how loud the system is (e.g. louder than Flowmaster 40s?) and if there are any other suggestions for headers. |

so you know you will not see those hp numbers
and that exhaust wont sound like a flowmaster mac or flowmaster 40s are the best way to go sound wise for the s197 models which im guessing is you car (05+) since that site you have is for a s197 v6 rppmoutlet has many misunderstood claims that really pisses me off. those numbers MIGHT be seen with a high hp output car. such as a s/c or turboed car. lik how it says that exhaust will give you 35RWHP. i'd be impressed if you saw 15BHP not een 15rwhp. and for max performance long tubes will be better then the short tube headers also known as shorties

Thanks for all of the info!
I had set my mind to get dual exhaust with the flowmaster 40s but no headers until I noticed that kit and the numbers it was claiming. I thought they were too good to be true and figured that someone here would know. Again, thanks for the clarification.

Hey now don't knock JBA. They have some serious quality parts. As does MAC. I really wouldn't go with pypes since I really only see x-pipes from them, and also there cat backs won't give you that sound that you are really looking for. I would mix it up with JBA and MAC to be honest.

When dealing with x-pipes and h-pipes what is the difference between the off-road versions and the non off-road versions?

Is it possible to run off-road and still pass emission tests or are they for the states that do not have emission tests?
