Throttlebodie Lag!
So I installed a bbk 65mm throttlebodie. I took it out for a test drive and it would not shift very well. Then it seemed like in second gear it would not excellerate barely at all when I had the pedal to the floor. Any ideas of wat could be wrong?

Ideas:
Did you connected the maf sensor or/and tps back? ( the maf causes a lag ) If that was done correctly then I would remove the intake tubing again then pull the throttle with your hand and make sure is opening and closing with minimal force...

Everything was installed correctly. I believe it is the tps. Do new throttle bodies come with plastic inserts that go into where the tps bolts in? Cause if so then I didnt get one with my throttle bodie. Could that be a probable cause of the problem. The reason why I ask is because I compared the stock throttle bodie tps hole to the new one and the new one was much bigger.

It points to be that cuz the tps based on the position of the throttle, the computer will decide how rich the fuel mixture will be at any open throttle point....

Or you may need to adjust the tps or buy a new one, try this..
You will need a Phillips screwdriver, a pin, and a voltmeter that can read low voltages accurately. Here is the procedure: 1) Loosen the two screws holding on the TPS, (The screws can be very stubborn, so make sure you have a good quality screw driver that fits snug and has a long handle for lots of torque, or you might strip the heads) just enough to able to swivel the TPS with force. 2) Pierce the "GREEN" wire with the pin and hook the positive (+) lead from the voltmeter to it. 3) Ground the negative (-) lead from the voltmeter. Use a good ground, like the engine or other grounded metal source. 4) Turn your ignition key to the run position, but do not start the vehicle 5) Rotate the TPS until you achieve .98 to .99 Volts (For stock or slightly modified engines). 6) Tighten the screws on the TPS and recheck.

Nothing is wirking and there is no way to adjust the tps using the volt meter. Any other suggestions? Im about to return the damn thing.

prolly ur best option anyway and spend ur money on something better. tb's arent worth the money without doing it all out with the p/p upper and lower intake, etc.
