nothing will really get you a deep "wake up the neighbors" sound.
If your motor is stock, a simple catback will sound the best. See the exhaust thread for clips. However, mac lt's, offroad h pipe, and slps will sound so loud and raspy (and shitty), im sure your neighbors will hear it. |

from personal experience with my 01 gt dont go slps, the slp 1 mufflers are just a bullet style straight through straightpipe, the slp 2 mufflers are your basic muffler an are a little more aggresive then magnaflow. i had frpp shorty headers, magnaflow CATTED xpipe an slp1 an it sounded good but was still pretty loud, then i switched to hooker longtubes w matching o.r xpipe an it sounded crazy stupid loud, gave me headaches all the time, an i could set off car alarms when i wasnt even close to a car yet. i know this is my experience with my gt but honestly a sixer requires a deep tone muffler, something like mac flowpaths, or force pro mufflers. and it all depends on the rest of your exhaust, if you go longtubes your gunna have to get an offroad pipe unless you get cats welded in. if you would get an aggresive muffler such as flowmaster american thunders then it will be raspy as hell an not sound too good(buddy has mac lts, or xpipe, american thunder cb thats how i knw). sorry for my speeel but hope it helps an take a minute when you have time an just search for diffrent sound clips on youtube before you make an exhaust purchase thats what i do. hope i helped a little

i wouldn't do any exhaust on a 6 er unless you eventually plan to go v8 anyways. will sound like ass. definately dont do something like an SLP exhaust either.

Ive said it before and ill say it again, buying a 250 dollar mac catback IMO is your best bet. It sounds real nice, conservative, not raspy. And after a year of driving, it gets broken in and starts to baffle a lil. I get compliments on mine ever once in awhile and im really glad i didn't get lts and/or h pipe.

as long as you have a turbo bolted/welded to the other end of that 3 inch downpipe woody, i think you have a point.
