2000 v6 intake from american muscle?

Mustang V6 Cold Air Intake Kit at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

My girlfriend just got a 2000 v6 and i just saw this on american muscle. Just wondering if there are any stats on this and how it compares to the 200+ dollar c&l. Is it a POS or not? My experience is in 05+ GTs and i know CL and JLT are top tier for those. Any input?

For the most part, I know you get what you pay for, but i guess every now and then there is something that defies that logic

Unlike on s197 stangs the intakes for new edges are all pretty much the same. Your just paying for brand when it comes to the new edge intakes

lol really? damn, so a 220 dollar intake has no real advantage over a 70$ one besides name?!

Nope. Just get the $70 one, then go to your local autozone or whatever and buy a drop in k&n filter and your good to go

I've got the 70 dollar one on mine. No different than the BBK fender well style as far as I can tell.

Cool, good to hear. That saves me some money right there. I initially thought to get the CL because of the results they yield on s197s.

Anyone know what are the expected gains with that intake on the v6? Somewhere between 5 and 10 hp i assume? Any dyno results lurking around anywhere?

yea its not a lot of gain but you can tell a small difference in acceleration for sure. maybe 1 or 2 to the wheels max. but it does help a lot with the exhaust tone and keeps it deeper at higher rpms. plus i got about 1-2 mpg out of it around town.

Actually, you could probably find it cheaper on eBay... Although they tend to screw you on the shipping.
