need quick response


first of all can i do this to my 2001 v6 mustang and it do what it says it does

secondly the screen infront of my maf is tearing...pic coming... does this pose danger to my car that would warrant removing it

you could try to fix it or take it out if you'd like, you have an air filter before it so its going to get all that stuff before it gets there but its kinda like a saftey measure when changing your filter

yes you can remove your silencer, isnt going to do a whole lot but if you want you can take it off

A small number of people have had problems when they removed the screen when installing an aftermarket intake. It's suggested that sometimes the screen "evens" out the flow so that your maf reads correctly, and it can sometimes cause problems when it's removed. In the vast majority of cases, it won't cause any problems to remove it. In your case, since it is ripping, I'd just take it out.
