rear window defroster

One of those bars that goes across the rear window of a 2000 mustang v6 that heats up to defrost the window isn't heating up. I had snow on my window so i hit the defrost button and one strip of snow remand on the window how can I fix this ?

the bar has a break in it maybe caused by after market tinting is usually case but can be from u working back there and nicking it with something maybe a screwdriver i know my local auto parts store sells a defroster repair kit for 15 bux and its conductive ink u use to fix the break in the circuit.
