hood issues with new bumper

ok, so i ordered a 03-04 cobra bumper from ebay and had it painted to match my grey color. i am currently away right now in arkansas so i had my dad put it on for me when it came in. he says that after he put it on, the hood would not go down all the way. he didn't push on it very hard or slam it because he didn't want to mess up the bumper. did he install it wrong or is the cobra bumper not a direct fit like i thought it was?

(yea i know it needs lowering and all stickers removed)

I've heard about this problem with the cobra front and gt hood....Do a little search for it

oh, haha fix't. all we had to do was shave a little portion on the top of the bumper. maybe this might help someone who has the same problem...

ok i have been away for a long time doing other stuff but i thought i might tell people the cost if anyone's still interested. i found an ebay auction that was $320 shipped for the bumper and they painted it at the factory for free with the paint code you told them. worked out great really. just needs a little lowering and a new rear bumper (which is going to be a pain in the ass to buy since i can't find one cheap.

so yea sorry guys i've been away.

EDIT: oh and i'l see if i can find a pic of the finished product. might not get a pic of the shaved area for quite some time (im in arkansas)

ok so here are the pics of the fixed bumper:

here is the fixed area. we had to shave a slight bit off the top of where the bumper bolts up (barely noticeable) and mounted it under the little tab.

and on a side note, if anyone knows the best place to get the cobra oem foglights, pm me

it was bought from the seller "aircardcorp". i don't believe they have any more of the cobra bumpers but i think they take requests so you might want to email them.
