i a mercury with a 5.0 in it and i am wanting to stuff it in my 2000 mustang 3.8. i have both cars to mess with and all the time that i need. i hear that its a pain in the backside but i wanna challenge so if anyone has info for me please feel free to share i would appreciate it.

Do you plan on modding the 5.0 or just keep it stock? What year is the mercury?

What Mercury? And what 5.0? There's a big difference between the HO and non-HO/"truck block" motors.

You'll probably need to source some parts from a '94-95 Mustang for the swap.

well its an 83 or 87 grand marquis its no HO but i will build it up first. i will also have as much money as it takes to get the job done. im not saying im rich but im not poor. the 5.0 only has like 40,000 miles on it so i beleive there will be little wear on the motor i am how ever haveing it bored and possibly stroked if yal have suggestions they r excepted.

and between me and my father inlaw we have the tools and hopfuly the knowledge to get the job done. i know it will be a challenge but hell who dont like one every now and again. i think it will turn into a project car i also have an 85 firebird that i love. its going under the knife next.
