need help with idling problem

hello people, shortly after installing the vortech, the car will idle really low and eventually die on me all the time. i was having to like put it in neutral and give it a little gas to keep it from dying. the guy who did the dyno said that i needed new spark plugs so i got the ngk plugs he told me plus new plug wires.

so far the things we have tried include: fixing all vacuum leaks, reseting the tps sensor, replacing the iac valve, and readjusting idle set screw. the idle is better but will still die if it sits running a few minutes.

a few things my dad was thinking about trying: cleaning the throttle body and rechecking the idle set screw. is there anything that you guys can think of as to why the idle is so off?

I'm assuming a vortech is a supercharger, since you say you are running 7 psi.

If the air coming in is at 7 psi it is denser than if it were not turbocharged by a factor of about 1.5. I presume you need more fuel to compensate for the denser air. I don't think the MAF can compensate for that, though the oxygen sensors should compensate, and it may need to have some tuning adjustments made.

A bit more information. According to the following link, the MAF does respond to air density as well as flow rate, so it should properly measure the amount of air into the engine, and combined with the oxygen sensor should be able to control the mixture.

Mass flow sensor - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hopefully, someone with actual experience with this issue will respond.

we found some minor vacuum leaks after the dyno tuning session and it is seeming that the tune is sending in more fuel to compensate for the leaks that are now fixed so could that little bit of extra fuel lead to idling problems? we have not cleaned the maf sensor, but the install wasn't very long ago and it didn't look bad when we took it out.
