Wow, just started reading this thread and somethings not right, even for city traffic. I've only had my 2010 Mustang V6 4.0 for one month now and have 700 miles on it. I wouldn't say it's quite broken in yet but I'm getting 20-21 miles per gallon. Now I do a fair amount of rural driving in the country, but I'd say that 40% of that is city driving. So, I have to say somethings just not right with yours. Also I agree that cold air induction (about $200+) will get you a kit (no engine tune required...BBK has them for $199) and this will not only give you more horse power, you'll get 3-4 more miles per gallon. It's also a simple kit that you can do yourself in about an hours time.

Good luck!

One, you should never buy a CAI for a new edge for more than $100, even that is up there. Two, the name brand for CAI for new edges is irrelevant, they all do the same thing. I'm not trying to bash you or argue but don't want anyone to spend that much for one of them.

RR, since you have an aftermarket intake, I would clean the MAF. I think someone said that on the first page, it MAY help. Fuel filter is a definite, it's cheap and simple.
