every 100 lbs equals a tenth on the 1/4. Our cars stock are anywhere from 14-16 seconds stock give or take because of engine setup (ie. 94-98 single port 3.8L, 99-03 split port 3.8L, 04 split port 3.9L, 05+ split port 4.0L). You won't be able to lose enough weight to make a large difference. If you want that extra .10 or so in the 1.4 go ahead and do so, but it won't be as big as you hope it will be. Also when you go racing don't have a ton of gas in your gas tank...that is killer weight.

i was thinking gas is the main thing. run as little fuel as possible. 15.5 gallon tanks that are full is a tenth already. then remove spare tire and rear seat and bracket is another tenth, front passenger seat is a little more, but not quite a tenth. that is free time, so i would recommend for a track visit.

rear seat removal takes less than a half hour. front seat is 4 bolts. easy, free, so why not?

removing the hood? lol while were at it lets take the doors off, trunk, front window and rear window so i can shave .4 off my E/T

the only things i'd remove before a drag would be...
spare tire
jack
and MAYBE if i feel like it the rear seats
and run on 1/2 or a 1/4 tank
