that sounds like miswiring, did you use a wireing kit or the old school cut and splice?

i got the wiring harness and still had to splice. i dont know what the problem was.... i took it to the place where i bought it and they got it in for free. but now i have another problem my amp isnt getting any power. ive got my 12v wire running from my battery to a fuse then to the amp. but the amp isnt getting any power..... the fuse is fine. i couldnt take out the fuse on the actual amplifier but say the fuse on the amp is good, what then?

ys you have to use the remote wire... that wire conencts to your cd player and basically tells the amp to turn on.. your amp is getting power but just isnt on... connect the remote wire and problem solved

well ive got power going to it and everything. i have the amp remote cable hooked up to the stero and to the harnes. but when i turn the bass up it does it on all speakers. my headunit doesnt have a setting for subwoofers. only bass, mid, and treble. im thinking just turn the boost up on the amp and then i will have better control of the bass?

your sub should kick in all the time boost the power of the amp, make sure it is on and grounded well, and make sure your rca cables are in.
