DAMMMM ITTT!!!! i got a ticket today in my 6er 4 speeding... 85 in a 55 it sucks... i hope i dont lose my license.... does anybody know how much u can exceed the spd limit b4 u lose ur license????

anything above 15 over is as i was told (if i'm wrong someone please correct me) is low grade felony.

i know someone that got written for 31 over which is just 1 over what you got and he just went into the recorders office and payed his ticket. he was to far over to do a pretrial diversion though and it took off a lot of points on his license and can't afford another ticket. I do think its a low grade felony but he just turned 17 so his will get erased off his record when he turns 18

if its over 15 it can be considered wreckless, but if they didn't write wreckless on there then your good....well better off than I was. Still don't like that cop. She didn't have me on radar or anything. She didn't even attempt to do vascar or anything. She just pulled me over. I'm glad that the judge saw all of this and completely dismissed it.

20 over is reckelss in VA. unless your in a 65 zone, and then 16 over is reckless. But it depends on how many tickets you have && the judge you have --Good Luck

Regardless of what happens with the ticket I *strongly* advise you to take a driver safety course. It reduces points from your record, lowers your insurance rates, and helps when in court.

ive has 7 speeding tickets in the last year one was for 80mn/h over lucky for me i have an insurance agent who lies his ass off for me and i have friends in the right places (cops that i went to skool with) lol

i'm pretty sure it all depends on state laws and your age.. my state, ga, is one of the worst for first time speeders.. I just got a ticket for 31 over.. 76 in a 45.. and im just shy of 20.. for people under 21 in my state, nething 24 over and up is basically guaranteed license lost.. after a month of calling I finally got in touch w/ the solicitor general, though, so now my court date is rescheduled and i gotta take def driving and do 20 hrs comm service before the new date.. it blows.. fat chunks.. but at least im not gonna lose 'em.. good luck man..

in GA, 24 over is 4 points and madatory loss of license for 6 months.

i went 80 in a 55 and paid a lawyer 300 to plea guilty to lesser speed and bargained for 65 in 55 and got no points, no report to insurance.

You made out on that deal!

For what you saved by the no report to the insurance company was worth $300 alone not counting how much better your record looked without the points and the lesser charge. Congratulations on that!

dude it is no big i have had 3 tickets within one year and actually all not in the stang but i got off of 2 of them and the other i payed and i was doing 28 over, 19 over , and 29 over in city limits so you be fine

if your 18 or under you can take a defensive driving class and get it lowered 25 MPH or to improper equipment depending on the state or if you get real worried you can take a plea of mercy I think is what it is called and they drop the ticket but you can't get another ticket for a year or both tckets come back at you all at once.
