sounds like a nice list of mods.

i wouldn't say a dyno tune is needed quite yet though.
the hp mods are only full exhaust and cai right?

than again i don't know your other hp mods
but if those are it wait on the dyno tune.. they can get expensive.

the dyno takes the place of a handheld tuner.

i'd buy the tuner. an XCAL would be about perfect.

normally people don't dyno tune unless they just got a blower or a nice shot of nitrous.

you don't need a dyno tune for those mods.

just remember...
a tuner you can re-use when you get more mods.

remember to get a speedcal or a speedo ring because the tuner can not correct your speedo with the new gears. Thats only 99+

a dyno tune isnt just to see how much hp and torque you have. and you cant do the things with a handheld that you can do with a dyno. with a handheld you will be tuning things based on how it feels. a dyno will tune everything to where it is safe and is not harming your vehicle. it will also make sure your cars air/fuel ratios are safe. i had a detailed conversation with one of the guys who runs custom performance . i think he might know what he's talking about. But none-the-less, thanks for your opinion.

i understand the diffrerance between a dyno run and a dyno tune.

and i am sure you will pull more numbers than if you hadn't gotten one vs. an xcal.

to each is own. i just don't see many people getting dyno tunes for just a cai and full exhaust.

U dont see the reason for a dyno tune with CAI and Exhaust because you prolly never had it done or have gotten good results.....Sniper Tuning gave me over 25rwhp with one....I think thats good for 250....also changing some other goodies

cricket posted a site earlier that is selling stock ported one. That way you want have to mess the the manifold. Nice mod list man. When you get the work done if it isn't to much trouble. Would you mind asking how much the shop charges for gear and t-lok install on a 2000 v6 stang I am near Charlotte and am trying to get an array on quotes.

what kinda gears and t-lok are you getting?

the 28spline t-lok on the 8.8 rear end is plenty good for what you'll be running
even a the 7.5 will
but the 8.8 has t-lok already

yea but id ont know what gears i want. the 8.8 comes with 3.73's so i figured i would stick with them since theyre good. but how big is the difference in acceleration from 3.73 to 4.10's? if its worth it then i might just upgrade to 4.10's.
