as i said he sold off the car. even the thread mentioned the headache he got from it, he wanted to get out of the whole v6 game.

I've seen way to many threads on 3.8 about it saying the trouble they have with this or that even once its been installed. actually...i havent even read a successful thread yet that lasted long...My car went with out a dyno tune on the bone stock motor and turbo'd for about a year or more.I raced the car and everything. only things that really went wrong was a blown tranny and rear end. then finally on 12psi with a crappy hand held tune it finally snapped a rod.

The m112 might be a great cheaper option to go with. but i believe a Procharger kit will get you further with much less headache....and im not a fan of s/c'ers but Procharger is generally the way to go with Any mustang as far as superchargers

Well we shall see what happens when mine goes on within the next 1-2 months.

And now you know why. But I sorta did the same thing, I think that's what ruined my cats, no other explanation, both pre-cats turned to dust? What are the chances when the car was running 100% fine at 58K miles before I tore it apart... I paid for my mistake too, just not as much, I pretty much paid to have it dyno tuned twice because they could not get it the first time, plugged catalytic converters will do that to you though.

A base tune is just a rich tune with no timing almost...its not by any means a tune. and running rich can still hurt the motor.

as for the OP..remember a new motor requires a break in. which means base tune and at least 500miles
