Camero Vs. Mustang

ive raced a 99 firebird. it was a good race. i beat him once and he beat me once. i dont think he stands a chance now that i have decent tires.

i bet my buddys camero, its got a fully built 302 in it. dual holly 450cmf carbs, crower high duration cams, fully ported and polisted heads,edelbrock dual carb manifold, all forged internals. long story short he threw 3rd gear and blew a rod. sucks cause i built the car for him.

how does a Terminator stack up to a Z06? granted the vettes weight like 2 tons less obviously. Don't get me wrong, regaurdless i'd get a Termi before a vette.

as for the bowtie vs the stang the camaro only had a 3.4 not a 3.6 and they dyno about 140 rwhp so the mustang has the slight edge

scratch that last post.. i did some research and i was wrong.

the 96+ has a 3.8
HP:200 vs. the mustangs 190
TQ:225 vs the mustangs 220

the 95 and below has the 3.4
HP:160 vs the mustangs 150
TQ:200 vs. the mustangs 215

so i would have to say that the camaro would have a small edge but it still looks like a drivers race to me.

i cant keep saying it.. "HP DOES NOT WIN RACES" those camaros are slow and dont stand a chance at beating a mustang it may not be like racing a honda but it will be a easy run for you

it's a combo of skill hp and tq that win a race.

this race would be a drivers race

if hp didn't win races why would we always want more of it then

THE MUSTANG WILL WIN.

The v6 camaro is a dog and slow 16.5 is an awesome time for them in the 1/4 if you get a good launch you have him. When I was stock I murdered them. you can also run close if not beat any of the 80's z-28's and I-rocs after 95 they are fast. same with the trans-am and the firebird is the v6 and also very slow.

my friends 99 firebird ran a 15.32 .03 seconds faster than me.

how'd we go from Chevy Camaros to Pontiac Trans Ams?

anyway im pretty sure the v6 camaro comes with a 3.6L engine
the mustang (your car) has the edge
but its really more of a drivers race stock vs stock
