how do i burn my tires?


Discussing how do i burn my tires? in the V6 Mustangs Forum. ok i know how to power break an automatic but how do i do that ...

how do i burn my tires?

ok i know how to power break an automatic but how do i do that with a manual?

well a brake stand (spinning your tires without going anywhere). Put in first (obviously) ease off the clutch while giving it a little gas with the e-brake up then after letting the clutch out fully put your foot on the break let the e-brake down and gun it.

If your talking about "break stand" (power braking )........
2 ways....

the way screamin saying could unwind your e-brake (loosen it so its not so effective).

That is the first way. THe other way would be to drop the clutch and spin them. Your not going to go anywhere for about 1-2 seconds. while the wheels are spinning, slam the brake. Thats the way I do it.

you are gonna have to use the brake and gas with your right foot and use your left to operate the clutch.
first hold the clutch completly to the floor with your left foot
the hold the brake lightly with the heel of your right foot
now rotate the toe of your right foot to the gas pedal and bring the revs to around 2500-3000 rpm
now dump the clutch and if the tires dont start to spin imediatly let off the gas.
if the car wants to roll forward use your heel to apply a tiny bit more brake till she's sittin and spinnin

congrats you just got Heel-Toe braking explained to you

oh accually i have a grudge match against my buddy at bandemer and i just want to show him i aint playin now. but use the ebrake right?

no the e-brake operates the REAR brakes and using it will wear your rear pads like none other if you use the regular brake pedal you are taking advantage of the cars natrual breaking set up 70% up front and 30% out back. so when you get it right your rear pads arent even touching the rotor and your fronts are clamping just engough to hold the car still

i didnt say it was the best way for the car, but it is the easiest. specially if you have small feet

my dad always told me if you cant do it right dont do it at all. and i think that holds true for a 3000 lbs automobile. and even if you do have small feet it ain't but 4-5 inches inbetween the pedals

just drop the clutch and hold the foot brake like everyone else said.
once you get the tires spinning fast enough just let off the brake

materials needed: lighter fluid and a lighter

first soak your tires in lighter fluid then take the lighter and light them....then sit back and enjoy

the use of an ebrake on a burn out in this car is stupid and not needed....the brake is to stop the rear wheels....your tryin to get those wheels to spin
