Dumb Question: Jetta 1.8t


is it possible for a jetta's turbo to be compatible with 04 v6 mustang? I dont know much about it, but Im guessing no, but my friend told me he was gonna buy a really old jetta, take the turbo out and put it on his civic..yea i know you cant compare the 2, but that just got me thinking...

all turbos are interchangable since they hook up your to headers, exhaust manifol, whatever you wanna call it. The only thing you need are the right pipe bends, and get the flanges to work for each other, but that is a pretty small turbo for a v6 mustang, so I wouldn't recommend it unless if you have 2. Also most car companies actually put turbos that are too small for the engines so that they spool up quicker.

you can get a turbo for cheap it is the tubing that is expensive if you can hook up the turbo and have the equipment and have done it before you'll be good. If you don't know what your doing your looking at a lot of money for install.
