so today me and my friend are driving to pick up his sister in driving school in my stang around rush. while i am in a 2 lane road it was a line of cars goin straight i couldnt even see the opposite lane im goin like 5 under the speed limit wen a 1990 camry comes flying out of no where and see that im right there and instead of like punching the gas he just stops so i slam my breaks i hit him on my left corner of my front bumper nothing else i could do me and my friend were goin to bust his fucking head we jump out of my car and were screaming at the guy, then we hear police siren and it was this big ass truck that let the guy go so i stop he gets out hes like i saw what happened are u ok ? im like yeah im fine im fucking pissed walking back and fourth callin my dad telling what happened the guys liek sry i didnt see u there im like no shit. my friend is like no fucking shit idiot! so he calls thecops for meand come to find out hes a state fire marshal9 couldn ask for a better witness) his wife was a nurse checked us over. and what made me feel a lil better the guy that pulled out in front of me had a suspended licsense

so he got handcuffed and taken away but it still sucked not much damage i need a new front bumper new headlight even tho its just a crack on the left side and even tho i had a crack in my windshield will just say that happened too lol

but i mean it still sucked do u think any of this accident was my fault i had no reaction time what so ever

well i didnt understand it all the way but, if u hit him from behind then yea by law its ur fault no matter what(practiculy very little exceptions) but hell while ur spending money on a front bumper mines well spend more money on ur car

no no he was coming from the other side of the street from this library he was on the opposite side of the street went across that guy let him come in i couldnt see with the big truck cause he wanted to come in my lane so all of a sudden i see this car come flying out i hit him in the side cause he stops i didnt hit him from behind

I'm glad to hear that you and your buddy are safe and your car is damaged as little as it is. All things considered, things could have been a lot worse.

Just because someone has a suspended license that doesn't make him automatically responsible for an accident they are involved in.

The cops and the insurance companies look at each offense separately.

yeah but if there license is suspended they are not suitable to drive which makes them a danger and therefore puts them a fault for any wreck they are involved in.

So long as the cop didn't write you a ticket stating you were responsible for the accident then you are free and clear.

The insurance companies do make the call.

If an officer responds to an accident then the insurance company generally defers to the officer's decision since they are at the scene and can make an informed decision.

In addition, most accidents are caused by someone doing something illegal (e.g. failure to stop at a stop sign or traffic signal, etc.). When this happens the officer will not only issue a citation for the offense but also denote that it was the cause of the accident.

The other guy definitely got a citation and was most likely deemed responsible for the accident based upon how you have described the events that occurred. You will be fine and shouldn't have any problems, other than dealing with the insurance company to get your car fixed properly, which is a whole different matter.

k your fine like green said he didn;t have his licience.. out here in bc we got that graduated licience thing you know L and N sticker// well if you dont; put up your N and get ina car crash.. they won't cover your ass as well as it automatically being your fault due to you even having a N drivers licience. it's retarded. anyways you had the right away before he did cause he turned into your lane and then proceeded to step on the breaks .. you can actually get a ticket for that eh if you switch lanes and press on your breaks.. go look it up your not allowed ot merge without sufficent room and blah blah.. but you have a witness so your more then fine even if they do try to screw you around argue it no matter what.

yeah he had insurance one of 2 things come to my head 1 it was his g/f's car and does that mean her insurance covers me and 2 if his licsense was suspended do u think a insurance company would stay with him. idk it completely sucked i didf did not see this happening. it sucks but the accident wasnt that bad on my part but i fucked up his 1990 toyota camry passenger door in pretty good lol and seeing him get handcuffed made it a lil better. im pretty sure ill be ok i just want my car fixed and not drive my moms subaru legacy anymore
