96 V6 Mustang...Possible for a V8 corvette engine?

I recently got a 1996 V6 mustang and im one of these guys that I dont just settle for the best for what I got... I have to have the best I can get. So Is it possible for my car to fit a big V8 engine without having to do anything big to my car like cutting into the firewall lol. If this is possible please tell me and if I need some kind of work done to my car to get this done please tell me or give me a website link. Also whats the best engine to put in a Mustang? Ive heard A Z28 camero engine but I also heard a Corvette engine is good to. I dont know alot about engines so if I dont make sence sorry . Any advice would help alot.

i know the 1996 V6 is pretty weak sauce and all....but why mix ford and chevy like that? Sure it'd be an interesting install but you're looking at alooooot of work. I dont think this has been done before, but if done right you've got yourself a rare car. I dont know this whole issue has my mind going every which way at the moment...i can't think straight.

man v8 isn't the best it is just the biggest

it will be a pain and you could get a gt your year for the price forge internals get a power pak and turbo charge it,

chevy makes a badass engine
ESPECIALLY vette engines

that swap in your car would cost ALOT and take alot of fabricating
new motor mounts,
a tune for sure
recal the speedo
new rear
new tranny
new driveshaft
new suspension most likely
and that might be it.
thats ALOT OF MONEY though

a 4.3L or 4.2L stroker v6 engine would be a better idea and strong one too. or a 351 or 302 swap. something made by ford

What about putting a Cobra engine in it? Is that possible and how much does that usually cost? Because I was thinking i could be lucky and get a wrecked corvette with the engine still in good shape at a junk yard and buy it for a couple hundred but I almost never see Cobras where I live.

if your looking for a deal like that get ready for problems...if you find a full workin engine in a junkyard...its probably not running right

better of getting a 4.2L short block. build that with a stage 3 power pak
forged internals and either long tubes and a procharger or vortech or slap on a turbo

or leave it N/a and run a shot of nitrous like 150

if you want the best and don't mind spending cash get a 428 cobra jet and have fun.

i vote for staying with the 6er and building it. by the time you spent all the money to get the v8 and make it work with your car, you could have a v6 that would smoke the hell out of that v8.

Ford makes well designed sports cars, but chevy has always been one step behind in that department. But they make up for it engine wise. personally, i think its pretty sad the need engines like 350s and such as where fords 302 is just as fast. funny how they need 440s and 445s n stuff when ford has the super cobra jet 429.....

if you think about it.. the SS sould be racing the Cobra, as the Z28 and the GT and the v6 vs the v6

stock for stock yea they prolly would. but i wasnt exactly talking stock racing. A well built 302 are mean little buggers. chevy's average engine is the 350, ford has two imo, the 302 and the 351.
