My 1998 3.8L Mustang-- Info

Here is what I've planned on doing:
( l l ) ( l l )
I have true duals with no connection ( l l ) soon to get X pipe ( X )
( l l ) ( l l )
Mac Straight Shot CAI (or is fenderwell worth it, a friend said it's really hard 2 get the the air filter to change it after its in...)
Mac Long Tube Headers
ASP Underdrive Pulleys ( Are the waterpump underdrive and alternator underdrive pulleys worth ordering with the underdrive puleys?).
JET Performance Chip (says it adds 10% more of the hp i already have, which is around 160 since I already put dual exhaust straight out the back with two flowmaster 40s).
4.10 gears (I drive alot of road miles so how much gas mileage diff is it between 3.73 and 4.10--- how much more do u lose having 4.10 than 3.73?).
NoS 100 shot (what is the difference between wet and dry!!!!!!!?).
Traction Lok Unit (Someone actually told me it'll slow me down more than help me when im racing... true..?)
New throttle body (what size is best for me after i have all of this other stuff?).

Thanks for the help whoever answers, please make any suggestions if you have any better items that will give me more horses than what I just listed, other than that, how is my setup looking for my 1998 3.8?
Thanks again.

get fenderwell

good headers

yes the extra pullies are worth it only get alt if you have charging issues though

get the x-cal2 it is better and you don't have it permanently on the car

you won't lose enough to matter get 4.10

get a 75 not 100 shot and get wet alittle less harsh on engine

t-lok will do nothing but help whoever told you it will slow you down you need to smack with a v-tec sticker

TB is pointless get a proted and polished one from here

If you drive a lot of miles go with 3.73
You'll be happy with the underdrive pullies and a tuner. Diablo, Sct, Sniper etc.
Traction lok will definitly help you.
I went with a 65mm throttlebody when I put my cai on.
I have the bbk fenderwell system, All you do is unscrew like 4 bolts to take the air filter out. It can be a pain getting it back in sometimes.
I don't know enough about nos to help you there.
If you get a good bit of money, you could consider a split port head swap and cam. With your other bolt ons this will make the most power

Green Faleen:"TB is pointless get a ported and polished one from here

ok so I looked on rpm-mustangs (i go there often neways) and i look at the TB and it says "half-shafted"... is there a full shafted one thats better or something... what does half-shafted mean. i know what ported and polished is, well polished neways, and i have a basic idea of ported... but whats half shafted

also, thanks for recommending the x-cal2, im going to look in to it right now.

Well there are lots of used nitrous kits on the internet....but new for just the kit with no acessories like from NX would be around $550 or somethin like that...you can find used ones for around $250 that may come with accessories...just check ebay they always have em. O and the thing you are talking about you can buy. Its like a remote that electronically opens the bottle for you, i reocmmend it.

yes the remote, a bottle warmer, a wot (wide open throttle) switch. Shit like that. Buying the basic kit new you will only get the kit which will allow you to run it...it just wont accomodate your needs as you would like.

speaking of nitrous....i saw a funny thing today....theres a kid with a cavelier...he had it so it would slowly go into engine...well he was sitting at a red light and it slowly started pooling and building then all of sudden...boom it shot off his front bumper and tore his radiator to hell lol

I think halfshafted refers to removing the lip inside the stock one not sure though. And you don't need a size if you get that one it is a ported stock one and that is all you need.
