clutch cable
cant figure out how to attach to the quadrant (i believe its called) need help on applying it all other stuff is done ....cant connect to quadrant

Put the cable on the quadrant first, then use a tire tool or something and push the clutch fork back to get the other side on.

The cable wraps over the top of it, the end of the cable sits in a slot on it.

thats what i thought but holy.........is it hard to get on there ...............feelling with my fingers and reading about it looks like there is a pin.......is it hard to install?.....or is it just imagination.

It's a pain to get up in there. It just unhooks from the quadrant. Once you've taken the clutch cable loose from the transmission fork, the tab on the strut tower, and under the hood on the firewall, it'll practically fall off if you give it some slack.
PS- taking the driver's seat out helps alot. Not needed if your just changing the cable, but if your doing the quadrant too then it'll be alot easier. |

ya i know what your saying im 6'3 and gettting to that quadrant is tough go mein but i will try that for sure .....if i have any other trouble i will post

if you take and pick up on the clutch pedal, the quadrant adjuster will release and you'll be able to get the cable on there. I usually put a screwdriver between the pedal and the floor of the car to keep it released while I'm working on the clutch.
