You know when you put whatever kind of header on your car when you shift it lets air out.. or well it sounds like it... yano verrrrrrr pshh verrr pshhh verrrrrrrrrrr pshh verr......
I honestly have no clue what really happens when this happens or else i would know what im talking about lol

But is there any other way to get this without having to change the headers?

They also sell fake ones, so you don't necesarily need a turbo.... , If that's what you're talking about?

this thread is a clusterfuck of mixed information. lol

i think the sound you're talking about is a blow off valve as safi mentioned, which can be from a turbocharger or a centrifugal supercharger.

^ Yeah, but as we know there are many out there who mistake CAI back pressure for a blow off valve... so we have to take it slow.

How do you mistake a CAI for a blow off valve? All a CAI will do is let a lil more engine noise out you dont get any sort of Blow off noise.

Guys, I'm not saying I do. No shit it's completely different, but since the OP suggested that headers made the noise, I figured it could be anything.

^ Exactly, that's why I suggested somethin' that some new people mistake for what he described. Most likely he means a turbo, but even the most green car "enthusiasts" usually know what a turbo is... so I dunno.

We know, that's why we've thrown out numerous suggestions to what he could be talking about, but he hasn't been back on.

Oh, it's mighty hilarious. One time a friend of mine was actually telling an acquantince of ours that I was turboed, to listen to the sound the engine was making. I was just letting it ride laughing on the inside, but this kid was actually taking it hook line and sinker. That's one specific time I recall, but I know there's been a couple others, it's sad, I know, so are many many other things in the car world. Yet we live on.

So since we're in a convo Bwal how's the health these days if you don't mind me askin'?

Goren is right...when i shift (at high rpms), the cai will make a little psssh noise that (to some guy who is new to cars or who learned about cars from watching F&F) could sound like a BOV.
