cross shaft locking pin

need some advice about motive gears i had some installed with a ford t lok. when it was all done the mechanic couldn't get the pin to go back in the diff. because the gear teeth are pertruding past the hole slightly. any ideas?

ford t lok w/ motive 4.10 gears.

So. . . . .A professional is having problems installing your gears and a t-lok, and is now asking you for help? . . . . . . .Sounds like you need a new mechanic.

Use a bolt with the same thread but smaller head. Just be sure it's the same grade of bolt and I think it's supposed to have lock tight on it.
