high-flow cat question..

not sure how many times this question has been asked but my eyes are already hurting from searching for similar threads. anyways, this past week when i start my car in the morning (really cold here in illinois), i notice a not-too-bad-but-annoying fuel odor from underneath, but for just a couple of minutes and then goes away. i was a bit concerned about it so i took it to a local shop and i was told that my cats are about 1/2 way gone. he said it may just crap out and fail the emissions test. no CEL yet though and i've already checked for any fuel leaks. i might as well replace them with something like this..please let me know what you think of it.http://www.rpmoutlet.com/musv6ngauge.htm

or if you can suggest something of better quality but won't hurt my pockets too much. i'd always appreciate your input/s.

if your going to do that and want to stay legal i would say get a catted h-pipe, sounds less raspy. but thats an excellent idea. just be sur to get a catback system also. any of the gt catbacks will fit.
