Southern V6 Ford Challenge

http://www.v6challenge.com/southernv6fc.html

The race is Sunday March 25th, 2007 from 9-3 at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Cecil, GA.

Anyone interested in going should. The track is the best I have been to. I went last year and blew my transmission in Warner Robins, but still made the trip and got 2 passes. The cars there are insane. Matthew Neuhart has a 638rwhp, 648rwtq V6 Mustang that runs 9s in the 1/4. The heads up races are always entertaining, and the Saturday before the race, Justin from VMPTuning.com will have his mobile dyno down there for runs and tunes.

Some of the cars making big power with the Ford V6 motors

man that is awesome. but me and justinstang live in poplar bluff. the most racing we do is on the strip or out on old 60 its a 2mile straight stretch out by where we live. but that sounds sweet.

It's also twin turbo'd. You have to remember that. A guy on www.tmaturbo.com made 440 rwhp with stock internals.

the 4.2L is a stroked 3.8L. they are both in the ford essex v6 family of motors. they are both pushrod v6's and use the same block. the 4.2 came in the v6 F150-s. matt has one sick car. i saw his new sheetmetal intake last year at the race- he has the sickest v6 race mustang out there!

A stroked engine is one that has longer piston arms, which increase the piston stroke. Thus the name "stroker" - and engine with a longer than stock piston stroke.

Probably look like the 4th of July but instead of fireworks it would be pistons shooting into the air.

Well this thread is for the Southern Ford V6 Challenge race, not motors throwing pistons on 4th of July.

Any interested should check out the registration page in the topic post links. MM&FF will be covering, and prizes and money are awarded to class winners. You also get trophies for best r/t, 60', etc.

Let's stay on topic
