Hows everyone doin?
Bought my sisters sn95 mustang off her for $200 last weekend. our family bought it off the showroom floor in 1998 at the old Ford dealership near our house in Vallejo, CA. anyway, it needs a new front end but theres no damage done to the radiator support surprisingly. found a bumper, fender, hood, and headlight panel for dirt cheap so now Im savin my money until then. Iv been drivin Taurus SHOs for the last 3 years now since I got my license. Some straight up sleepers! Both got me in too much trouble so I sold them to get the mustang, already know what I want to do with it that tired ol' 3.8 though. Anyway, first thing on my mind, this auto trans is drivin me crazy. Havnt found anything anywhere on a auto to manual tranny swap for the sn95 mustang. an my questions are, what tranny would be used? a T5? does a company out there have a kit to complete the job instead of buying all of the individual parts? Thanks in advance

Your best bet is to try to find a donor car to try and do a swap.

Here's a write up on how to do it.
I'm not sure if there is a kit out there for it or not. http://www.supersixmotorsports.com/pdf/T5SwapFAQ.pdf |

I believe midwestmustang.net still sells complete kits. A few people on 3.8 have gotten kits from them, but you'll have to call or email because the website won't tell you much. Not sure how the prices are now, but a few years back it was ~$900 for a pre99, and ~$1200 for 99+ based on quotes given to 3.8 members.

It also wouldn't hurt to try to find someone parting out their car. I got everything I needed for $450 from some guy on corral.
