Dudes,
You need to chill. JT, run your car and then the debate will be over. You'll know exactly where you are at. Just have fun man, that's what its about. I am curious as to why you said a Walbro 255 is not good. |

Nice setup.
Hope you reach your goals with it. I like your "it will run what it runs" attitude. That's a good way to look at it.

This isnt my best run because track prep was not all that great. Also I was just starting out learning on how to heat the nitto 555r. I was a little to deep in the water box when I did the burn out and I think I pulled water onto the track with me. Something like a 2.1 60' with 3.73 and stock stall.

Just to update this...I have installed a cam and plan to dyno it sometime later this month or early next month. First I have to send some wot pulls to my tuner to make some adjustments. In addition the heads and intakes have been gasket matched, upgraded springs, comp retainers, comp pushrods. The cam specs are 216/222 .541/.541 112*.
The car has definitlly picked up quite a bit of power and tq at part throttle. Havent been able to do a full wot pull because the tires will spin badlly even at 50mph. That will be fixed this week sometime. fedex man brought me some new 555 275/40r17's today. Although I do have some 555r's mounted on my stock 16's I have been to lazy to swap the rims. Hoping to be detuned to around 360-370 for longevity.

Sounds like you have a great setup. That is exactly what I want to do with my car except mine is a manual. You are lucky!

Power mods are procharger d1sc boosting to 12-13 psi. Gasket matcked heads and intakes. Gasket matched 97 windstar upper. 70mm tb. cam. Dual exhaust running cutouts and highflow cats. All the fuel mods. Griffen 3" aluminum race cooler. Have a snow stage 1 kit but not hooked up(may sell it). Also have a 110 oct mix tune. Tuned by justin starkey.
Car made 318/326 pulling to 5000 rpm with the 3.6" pulley...had sprak blow out and could not pull to 6000rpm last dyno'd.

Don't set yourself up for disappointment, those type of numbers don't seem to be achieved without nitours, big vavle heads, or 4.3L

who/where?
only rare case of any numbers close to that would be stang38l, that's 1 car out of like 15. All the others are 310/320. But hey hopefully you make those numbers.

I'm making more than those numbers now. Those are stock p1sc numbers with the 3.6" pulley. The d1sc has a much better mid and top end. But yeah hopefully I do hit my goals. We will se what happens in the next couple weeks.

You can see my dyno with the 3.9" pulley at vapauto.com. The other graph was not posted on the web but I do have the graph. It is with a 3.6" pulley swap. Made the numbers in my sig pulling to under 5000rpm.

Update....Ordered a custom stall...3300...From direct trans. Heavy duty billet cover....chrome moly hub...Anti balloning plates...Strenghted welds. $535 dollars shipped to my door. My buddy runs one of these converters in his blown fox with great results.
Pretty excited about it and cant wait for the track to open back up in april to try this thing out. I need to run a 7.8 or better to be faster than my buddys blown fox. If the new cam, stall, tires, and suspension come together I dont see why I cant pick up .6 seconds in the 1/8th. Hoping this is the last high dollar peice to the puzzle til I build my sc block. Except maybe the front suspension and a few tubular parts out front. Decided to stay with the 373's to see how they do with the new stall but will be putting in the detroit locker when I drop my trans.
