flywheel


i have a 00 stang v6 (obviously) and i was just wondering how much our flywheels weigh? and i think there made of aluminum correct me if im wrong

i dont think they are aluminum. when i took mine off it wasnt very light. maybe 35lbs or so. thats just a rough estimate.

nah they aren't alluminium... they leave that for you to fix... when you replace the clutch/torque converter mos def go with a really light one... its worth the reduction in rotating mass...

... or just show up with a fly wheel out of a wrecker and write a note on it... that says " does this feel like aluminium" and put it through his window

aluminum flywheels aren't that great...car will rev a little faster and free up a few horses but the heavier steel one gets a better launch on sticky tires and is a little better for daily driving
