I see you bought the really big one. I thought that one was just a bit to big haha.

Well, I noticed the other day that some residue from the belt has been slinging onto the CAI tube and caking itself INTO the paint. I can not get it to come off...

I suppose I will simply have to repaint the bottom part of the tube every few months or so.

dude, that looks freakin awsome. i love it. what do you think the downfalls are from not having the heat shield blocking the engine heat? i would prob do that to mine but i am not sure about pulling all that hot air in. where did you get your filter?

I doubt the change in temp is a huge issue. I got the filter from Autozone.

Thanks all.

I just have to find a way to counter this residue coming off my belt baking into the paint...

I thought about doing this a few times, but one thing kept me from doing it...how did you secure the tube to keep it from bouncing around?

With the fenderwell CAI it is secured by the heat shield, what about w/ this setup?

With all the clamps tight on the junction points, and the end resting on metal, it stays put...

I don't have it secured, but when everything is assembled it is sturdy. You can barely move it around with your hand.

I just did this myself and I did notice better throttle response on the street but the biggest improvement was on the freeway, I really noticed it there. The exhaust tone aslo got a bit throatier and deeper so it was an all around plus! Thanks for the idea!
