I'd say some brands are definitely better than others, but any of the major players will be good, I wouldn't go unknown Ebay user cheap on it. I've got the Steeda Tri-ax and love it. Honestly it may be the best thing I've done to the car. I'm not a fan of the long throw of the stock shifter, much to slow in my opinion, the short throw allows you to fly through gears. Install was simple, I'll provide a write-up if you'd like, hell I'd even help you out with it. Def. worth the coin.

can never go wrong with MGW. Pro 5.0, steeda tri-ax, and others. Go with MGW or pro 5.0 IMO. mine is a pro 5.0

i have read in magazines comparisons of all of the major shifters. I really think that it is pretty much just whatever you like. I am sure which ever one you get as long as it is decent quality will seem good to you. I am actually hoping to get one for christmas

I have tried a few.. the UPR, the steeda, and the MGW. The MGW hands down trumps the others in my opinion.
