if your 97k on OE struts your due to change them, go ahead and do that. the pulling is probably a toe issue, get an alignment. AS for the squeak its hard to tell you much without hearing it, try a sound clip for us if possible.

As for the ball joint with no play in them i wouldnt replace them get a grease gun and lube them up. I cant remember if the 2000 mustang has fitting or not but if so just pop the gun on that.

that would probably only make a sound on ruff terrain though if yours is constant id rule that out. A sound clip would really help though

^ The 2000 DOES have a grease fitting. Try refilling it, but if the boot is worn/cracked/missing you'll need new ones. Replacement isn't hard so long as you rent the removal tool from an auto store.

Well these mechanics think its the brakes. They said the rotors are heated really bad and the pads are cracked. Would that cause the squeak when accelerating?

Rotors may yeah if they're warped/grooved (I guess they call that "heated"). Get those and the pads replaced and see what's up.
