Harmonic Balancer Removal.


So im trying to take off my UDP's and put stock ones back on. When i went to go remove the inner bolt it just spins the crank. How am i supposed to get that off> Impact gun?????

honestly i cant remember. my first my was my steeda UDP but i remember it was BITCH to do. my brother and i both had a struggle with it.

we did have to use a pully puller kit to get it off. i thought the stock one was all 1 piece?

Several options.

1. a chain or strap wrench on the crank pulley.

2. a screwdriver or pry bar wedged into the ring gear. There is a rubber cover on the drivers side of the bell housing.

3. On the OEM pulley you may be able to insert a pry bar into it.

4. an impact tool.

Impact... I had to use a high torque impact from a mechanic as my little $75 cheapo wouldn't even zing that bolt off Best of luck!
