Yeah just seems stupid that you have to down shift it three times before you are even in freaking D lol. Then some other crazy stuff I couldnt catch because all the videos have them going through it super fast. But it seems like way too much work just to be able to manually shift.

Its not hard at all really.
You are still using the same shift pattern as before only now you pull back once every time you want to go back a gear and push forward every time you want to go up a gear. Here is a quote on operation from B&M- "The B&M Mustang Console Hammer is a ratchet shifter. You push the stick forward for up shifts and pull it back for down shifts. The ratchet shift allows firm, positive, no miss upshifts and downshifts. Move the knob as far forward or backwards as it will go to select the next gear. Then let the spring return the stick to the central position. "

yea but right now on my stock shifter i can pop the button and pull it right to drive and go. for the hammer shifter i would have to ratchet down 3 times to get to drive. seems kinda dumber to me. now if it was something like this:
that would be great. |

Its just one extra ratchet to drive over that one there. Although I guess its all a matter of prefferance.

Oh I must have looked at the video wrong. I though it ratcheted into reverse and then drive.
I agree though, that would be nicer but they don't make those four our year. Good news however. It's installed!

I do enjoy it. Although I need a new shifter cable. I didn't think mine was as worn as it is.
It's a lot of fun to run through the gears with it.

Yes, a write up will be coming but not until I get it working perfectly. I don't want to give any misinformation on the subject.
Pretty much the instructions tell you everything that you need to know. I'll be para phrasing that mostly and adding in important notes with more pictures.
