B&M Hammer Shifter

Well I came across some extra money and I decided to get something that will make driving my car a little more fun.

Hopefully the Hammer shifter will do just that. It should be here sometime around the 8th or 9th. I'll be sure to post pictures if anyone is interested.

Has anyone else used this shifter or a similar one in the past?

I have used it, in a friends car and I loved it. I sadly couldnt afford it when I had my mustang but it was a great shifter and it took a beating

What specifically does it allow you to have control over? Would it similar to shifitng a manual? I only see 1, 2, D, N, R, Park listed... just like the stock shifter?

I ordered mine from summit. I don't think Jegs stocks the one needed for the 4R70W.

Here's the link at summit.

So how exactly do these let you shift? So you just shift it into gear on your own when you want? So its like a manual without a clutch?

It has a D so I take it you can use it like a normal auto as well? Cant look at youtube at work, sorry.

Zat there is a video on youtube on how to install a ratchet shifter on an 05+ GT and I would say it just looked like removing the middle consle, shifter and some line of some sort.

Ok after watching a couple videos on these things .... I have to say im not impressed AT ALL. It seems more of a pain in the ass than a manual or auto.
