Info on Shift Kits

i know i didnt think it was a big deal untill every one is tellin me they are paying an arm and a leg to get an engine installed lol

Yo Faleen Or Someone..
Ok..I have an Automatic..i Use 1 and 2 and the switch it up to drive when im racing..But..i didnt know i can get it so it can be Manual and Auto at the Same time..How much would that cost? and can i only get it off the internet or can i buy it at a store? Autozone? Pep boys? Kragen? Help me out here..

You can get everything I listed at autozone. Just write down the part number from the links and tell them you want to order some B&M stuff. For kit, TC, and Shifter with install you looking at about 600 bucks as a max

you have a 4r70w AODE transmission so they might have it labeled like that.

Ok I have a 04 v6 and I have read about all the shift kits and all. However, since my car has an extended warranty til the end of next year, I am going the tuner route for now (SCT Strategy).

I know the turners firm up the shifts, but do they decrease the horrible lag during WOT and partial WOT. I'm pissed my sister 2000 Grand Am Gt has a half second lag and and its off. I know it has a gt tune on the transmission but still.....

Nothing with the Letters B&M should ever TOUCH your FORD automatic trans....I pray for anyone using that crap.

First the AOD was 1980-1993, AODE was 1992-1995, the 4R70W is 1994-present
The only Stag to have the AODE was the 94/95, 96+ is 4R70W.

ANyway, shift improver kits that should be considered are Jmod, Baumann, Transgo if you like them. Aftermarket VB's are great too.

COnverters, same again NO B&M. You get what you pay for.

Gears...hands down the first improvment.
