Shift linkage
Allright, I have a 2000 V6 with an auto. tranny and it shifts sloppy so I lubed up the shifter cable under the car and it seemed to work a little better. I would like to replace the cable myself but cannot seem to find one?! Any ideas? I check RockAuto and JC Whitney and would rather not get ripped off by a dealership. Also, any tricks to replacing it??

I am replacing mine because I have installed a ratchet shifter.
It's not that expensive. I think about 40 bucks for a new cable. Install is pretty straight forward just remember how it came off and your good to go. You should be able to disconnect the linkage from the shifter by gently prying with a flathead screwdriver.

Any idea where I can get one? Can't find ANY online and Napa does not cary them

I got mine from Ford. Sorry I forgot to include that before.
To be honest with you, it's a pretty important part and if it's too long or too short you could have problems. I would go factory on this one.

When I replaced mine I got it from the Dealer too.
