Engine Swap
I just wanted to know if the chasis are the same size in the v6 and the gt models? i was wondering if it is possible to put a 5.4L 356T-7 aluminum block into my v6 stang and build from that point on?

Ummmm not worth it unless you can do all the work your self. You would probably be better of buying a cobra or a lightning then putting that in your v6 stang.

For a 2005 -present, you can swap engines, dirve trains, tranies etc. But if you do, you will have to buy special flanges for drive train, computer etc.
That being said, I was thinking about droping a 302 in my 2005 V6, its a small block engine with a huge potential....and lots of goodies for the performance side. I am still doing the research. Their are lots of crated 302, race ready with 300 - 475hp. Seems you can get one of these for around $3,500 - $6,000. Again, I am just thinking about possibilities. |
