Broken O/D Off Button wire
While replacing a broken bezel on my 99 automatic, I was very careful about the od off button wire during the whole process. When putting the knob back on, the wire broke. I notice that no lights came on or anything that would make it seem bad. Do I even need to replace this?
If I do, can I buy just the button and wire? Does anybody sell this besides the dealership? |

you just cant turn off O/D. its fine unless you regularly turn O/D off for some reason.
i broke the wires on mine when i installed a manual shift boot on my auto. i didnt even bother to re-solder the wires because im swapping to a 5-speed soon. so far no problems

yea I don't see a reason you really need that button, so I would just leave it like that

Thanks for the quick replies. I never used the button before today to check it out during the install, right before it broke.
Sounds good to me to leave it be. |
