Does adding high flow cats change your exhaust sound?


or is it just for performance? does it create more back pressure?

Yes it does. Not sure about the back pressure though.

less back pressure

edit: assuming you're going from stock to high flow

stock to highflow you'll get a louder sounding exhaust...just make sure you also remove the pre-cats as well...

it gives the car a more of a muscle car kind of sound a deep groan, the back pressure is reduced so better exhaust air flow.

it gives you less back pressure if you are going from stock to high flow, but more if you were not planning on installing any when you did the dual exhaust... and it gives you a louder exhaust from stock to high flows

les backpressure and nice and loud...I've got 2 magnaflow cats on my car with a MAC exhaust and it screams when you want it to

Is this neccessarily true even with the v6 mustang? Just thinking about doing it myself.
