Not going to leak boost by putting breathers on valve covers.

No, I meant leaving the evap line hooked up to the manifold.
Oh and by the way, if I use my stock MAF with a MAFia, did you take out your little screen?

You need to cap that...You can buy an assortment pack at the parts store to fit.

Take out the screen and gut the converters...or at least gut the rear long ones.

I'm not sure were on the same page with that. I know I'll have to cap the PCV one on the manifold, but would it be a better idea to run the fuel evap line to before the blower instead of to the manifold where it is now? I just want to check before I do it. And yeah, I was considering taking one set of cats off at least since I'll have a lot more flow going through them. Thanks for all the help man!

Alright here are a couple pics. And I'll just give the link to the whole thread on 3.8. I hate to always to it, but it's just so damn much easier for me to upload them over there, mine are always too big on here and I can't figure out how to resize them. Vortech V2 - Page 3 - 3.8 Mustang Message Board

But I got all done except the tuning, and the LC1 wideband from ebay for $188. I have a MAFia on the way, as funds ran a little short, so I couldn't get the 05+ from VMP. I just made my intake pipe out of 2 cold air intakes I cut, one of which I got for free. Now all is some cash to complete it, which I should get this weekend for my birthday. And I'd eventually like to move the battery to the trunk because I think it looks a lot cleaner. I made a lot of the stuff for it myself like the oil lines, intercooler mounting bracket, and some odds and ends. I also have the bumper support foam cut to be able to go behind the bumper cover with the bumper shimmed out for the intercooler. Now I'm ready to hear this thing run!

I haven't ran the total yet, but I think it's close to $2500 with me getting some stuff free, fabbing some stuff, doing my own welding, and all the work. I'd like to get the springs installed this summer, when I have money for C/C plates, subframe connectors, new tires, and an alignment.
Supercharger and rebuild components: $1000
Camshaft and valvetrain components: $315
Gaskets/seals-$100
Intercooler and Piping: $210
HKS BOV-$130
Oil Pressure Gauge-$30
Boost/Vac Gauge-$50
Wideband-$190
Random shit-$100
Tune-$260-350
~$2500
I got the other stuff for free. And I drilled the oil pan with a 9/16 drill bit packed with grease and kept cleaning and re packing while I had air pressure in the oil drain to blow anything out. The made a bent pipe to attack to a sot vac to sweep out anything that might've fallen into the oil pan, but I didn't even see it pick anything up.

Alright I will ave the money I need for my tune by saturday, from VMP I believe. I really wanted to dyno it now, but I don't have the money. And in a couple months when I do have the cash, it should only be $125 or so since it will already be tuned pretty well. And just got the LC1 wideband tonight for $187. The MAFia is on the way as well. Tomorrow I'll get the boost gauge and pod.

Well I started the car for the 1st time in 4 months today since I just got the MAFia. I just put it on setting 0 because I'm still on the stock tune and it's fine cause it's just sitting in the garage. But the exaust sounds just about how I wanted it to, and I think it'll be better when the cats come off. Its deeper and louder, but the D idle has to be raised by probably 100rpm to keep it idling kind of smooth. Also it had a pretty noticeable ticking when I started it, which I'm assuming is a lifter or at most 2 on the passenger side. I just might pop off the valve cover tomorrow and give each one around 1/4 turn more of preload which will probably be about 31 ft-lb total. I think that's right about where SSMS says to set them. It did clear up all most all the way when it got up to operating temp though. I'm considering the possibility it could've been because the lifters were out and dry for so long. I think I only have them torqued to maybe 28 ft-lb, whatever it says in the ford workshop manual.
Now all I have to do is weld in the wideband bung, wire up my gauges (wideband, boost/vac, and oil pressure), and get the datalogging tune.

Well I think everything is set up correctly and any problems I'm experiencing are just tune related. Not positive on that, but I really can't tell it has been 2 weeks since I got my initial tune from justin, which I had to play with the A/F myself to find out where it needed to be so I could do a WOT datalog in 2nd with the A/F ratio @ about 12.7. The process is just taking a very long time, it takes a week just to get a reply. I kind of wish I just went to the dyno.
Anyway, the only real problem I'm having is a little stuttering under WOT. And it's almost gotta be from the same reason that it has that miss at idle. I mean it does pull hard though and I'm pretty happy with the car itself. Now I know what you meant by no traction at all on launches...and I still have a stock converter. But it's a thumbs up for the most part. I just want to get the exhaust done next with LT headers and replace the old cats w/ pipe since they're gutted.

I had to send him an ill message to get him to adjust my tune once. Message basiclly said either send me a new tune file or you will be receiving your product back. I bought the sct advantage software so it's all good now. I do my own tuning. Over all though I was happy with justins tune.

You are gonna need to run drag radials all the time to have any fun on the street...I hav to.

Yeah...the times are decent. I want to see bottom 7's now. Gonna buy either a transbrake or fully built c4 with full manual vb, custom stall, and transbrake from redneck performance.

Yea it's not that I doubt his tuning abilities, it's just a pain in the ass to have to deal with him like that. I already sent 1 message that said to give me a partial refund of like $200 or get the job done. If he doesn't tomorrow I'm demanding a refund. I did see that software on therte to tune yourself, and if I'd known it was only that much more I would've done it. I just really want the car running right soon so I can really see how it performs.
The only other thing I might do when I ghet more money saved up is put on a little smaller pulley. Then I'll have money if I blow anything. But first I need to get my new tires, alignment, and C/C plates so I can get my pro kit on. But congrats man, I look forward to seeing more from your car.

Justin takes forever if you get a tune through him online with something like that. If your not in FL go to the dyno. Buy the time you foul out enough plugs and waste enough gas trying to remote tune it you will be close to what you would have spent on a dyno tune.

Well I shouldn't be fouling out any plugs...if anything it runs a bit too lean at idle sometimes, like up to 19. It was enough to throw a system too lean code. At crusing it stays between 13 and 16 AFR and under WOT I have it at 12.7 right now with the tuner adjusted as much as possible to make it richer.

I didn't do anything to it, it's his base tune he gave me. He wanted me to do the run, but I couldn't with it the way it was. The 1st time I touched WOT it was at 16 so I got right out of it. I'm hoping he has the tiuming retarded and thats why it isn't running exactly right.
