I still don't really think its worth it unless you live in cali and just have $300 to blow and have nothing else you can add to your vehicle.

It's also worth it if you want to replace your cracked manifolds.

I priced them out against the manifolds at invoice and the bbk shorties that I have were 75 bucks less than the dealer.

BBK Shorties from AM are $270. Just for shits and giggles I asked a local shop to quote me what it would cost to fix a cracked header (back when I had an exhaust leak, drivers side header cracked). They wanted $260 for a new header. $10 more coulda gotten me 2 headers that were less likely to crack (our headers are known to crack).

Easier install, for a 2v/3v Gt maybe, Long tubes is a 5min longer install than shorties on a v6.

So do the lts for the v6 specifically an 02 manual fit pretty well? I mean is there any real troubles getting them in place? I helped a friend with lts on his chevelle and wow took us like 2-3hours, ended up beating the pipes to dent them a little to get them to fit in, and had to take the starter off. it was a pain.

Also, I have seen two v6 headers, the pacesetter, and the mac. Are they pretty similar as far as sound and performance goes?

It depends, if you gotta cut off your midpipe with a hack saw in the rain like I did, it may add a little time.

other than the midpipe, do they fit pretty easy? I was plannin on just takin it and cutting the mid pipe off and taking it to an exhasut place and have them just weld in a mid pipe, it would be cheaper than buyin one.

They fit fine. I had to unbolt the steering wheel shaft, but that wasn't anything hard. Other than that, it didn't take too long.
