Cats


I one cat is dented and the shop wanted 100+tax for the part plus the labor. is this overpriced for just 1 stock cat?

just dented, the guy said that its restricting the flow with the dent..

i dont know if im failing smog, he said with the dent it makes the flow smaller

unless the thing is dented all the way in i wouldnt really worry about it... unless its cracked or leaking

Are you sure the Cat is dented, and not the heat shield that surrounds it?

i dont know, i saw the dent in it, i thought i would have to replace the whole thing. is the sheild expensive to replace?

don't change it... my car is fine with a dented cat... unless you are failing the emissions test just leave it... shops are always trying to rip kids off
