Mechanic only replaced one side with headers
and the other side is stock. the passengers side was cracked bad and it was making a loud noise. i bought the bbk shorties and he only replaced that one side. it runs so much better now, is this not good to have it like this? id have to save up more money to replace the other side.

Just replace it yourself man. Or find a friend to help you out. You have to know someone car savvy.

Dude it's not a big deal. You can replace the headers yourself with a little creativity. Just get that car up on some jackstands, pull the midpipe, and have at it

The driver side is the easy side. First time I had it done in about 40 minutes.

I would say $150 is reasonable. Assuming the nuts are not rusted up it isn't really hard. Just remove all the nuts from the studs into the head and remove the two nuts at the bottom on each side. If all those come out easily it isn't hard. The manifold drops out from underneath. Bolt the new one up with a new gasket. I found a gear wrench was very useful for removing the nuts from the studs into the head.
