Sometimes you'll get good parts, sometimes you'll get junk. It's risky buying auto parts on eBay but so far I haven't had much of a problem. I've only bought headlights, led lights, and a shift knob so there's not a whole lot to screw up there. I've got an HID conversion kit laying around I order off of ebay that I haven't gotten around to installing. Hoping it works well.

If you are going to buy parts on ebay, make sure the seller has really good feedback. Under 99% I wouldn't buy from. Hell, I'd aim for 99.5% or higher if there's plenty of similar parts for sale. Also try to pick up parts that have a decent warranty. At least then if you get them and they won't fit, you'll still be able to return them.

Cold air intakes are one thing, normally its just piping. The filter is sometimes crap, but sometimes is good enough. Also the clamps may be of less desirable material or manufacturing, but those aren't the hugest thing. UDP's and a shifter I would avoid Ebay, or at least the cheaper brands. UDP's affect your engine's balance, and a poorly designed/manufactured one could cause all types of bad vibrations. Same argument(s) against the shifter, They just generally aren't made to the same specs as the industry leaders and preferred manufacturer's/distributors. I would shelve out the $160ish for a good shifter (I have a Tri-ax and love it, others swear by the MGW). UDP's are a lil more pricey but not much, to me its worth it to have something you know is proven to work and last.
