q&a for my new 2000 stang

Hey guys, I just bought my 2000 v6 manual stang!!!!! I'll have pics up by wednesday. anyway im getting side exhaust for it, and was wondering the best way to do it. i know about the roush side skirts, but i dont wanna do that. what tips would look nice out the side? also i want a loud exhaust with straight-through mufflers. any suggestions? oh i almost forgot, MUSTANGS RULE!!!! (if you cant tell im in love with the car)

the cobra r just run right out the bottom of the car under the regular side skirts. there are aftermarket skirts that will hold side exhaus but that is up to you. as for the mufflers all of them have the same side in and out. i dont know if there are strait thru type mufflers that will fit under the car without ground clearance issues that you can run.

i like two options for exhaust:

out the side: mac long tube headers, no midpipe, magnapack mufflers, roush side exit tips in a custom mid pipe.

dumped: mac long tubes, mac short off road H, flowmaster 40s dumped before the axle.

or you could go like me- rear exit: mac long tubes, short off road H, magnapack cat back

i dont think side exits on a v6 sounds the best but if you really want that its your car. they dont sell a kit for that exhaust on a v6.
your gonna have to have a muffler shop fab one up if they can.

may not sound great, but they look amazing. i love the roush kits from 99-04! i would go with one on a show car, but keep in mind, too, that side exit wont make the power of a straight kit...

straight through mufflers on a side exhaust kit would be too loud to handle and your gonna idle real ruff. Go with one of AB's setups but get some chambered mufflers it will be loud and sound better.

Longtubes.....short mid X or H peniding on sound preference...then w.e mufflers same apply about the mid pipe...sound preference....then do dumps...I just did mine and looks alot better then sitting under the bumper if no cut outs...cleaner, lil more secret from a stance...and sound nice

cool H pipe sounds like a good idea. if it eliminates the crackle-pop sound then thats even better
