sadly yes unless you add a stage 3 power pak forged internals. Twin turbo running 20 psi and a new rear end with 4.10's.

to be able to race him you just say to him. hey lets go race

to be able to race him and win then you need: gears, t-loc, exhaust, headers, cams, heads, rocker rollers for cams, ud's, forged internals, if your an auto then higher stall tourqe converter, nitrous, cia, and some damb good driving

no SC evo comes off the lot new....and as for u above saying he needs a Twin turbo 20 lbs of boost no.....V6s have more displacement and Cylinders....they can run 5 lbs of boost against a SRT 4 running 17 and will win....4cylinders need higher boost then a V6 would....and V8s are no different...twin turbos can spool faster if they are small....but going big just one big one is fine....Turbo lag occurs with most cars but a evo on 20lbs and a V6 on 15lbs running the same numbers on a dyno and racing from a roll....the V6 has him

oh I didn't mean he needs it just was giving a setup that would destroy it and be a lot of fun.

Man all this turbo and supercharger talk makes me want to get one for my car. What's better anyway? Turbo or supercharger for the maximum hp gains and speed? Is there any maintenance that goes with after you get with any of these? Average costs, including installation and stuff? yes i am a noob lol

agreed^ and just to throw it in there, if his evo is stock you should be able to take it with just a single turbo and bolt ons. you will be pushing 340 rwhp as long as u got the supporting suspension and drivetrain mods.

You'll also need quite a bit of cash to spend.
